Celebrate Women's Day. Because - Who Runs the World? Girls!


iNTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATES the triumph of women and just how powerful we are. I mean, if Beyoncé tells us that girls run the world, then it's obviously true.

Every year, this day comes and goes, and sometimes we might not notice… Or, we spend it doing the usual: girl’s night. Spa day. Don't forget the the celebratory hashtags all over twitter and Instagram (not that there is anything wrong with any of that), I am so here for all of the social media appreciation posts that go on at this time of the year. But, if you’re feeling fired up and motivated for something more this year, we've got you covered.

From lady-led luncheons, to gal organized get-togethers and woman warrior networking, we’re well and truly set to celebrate the kick-ass females out there, are you with us??  

Celebrate for the Cause

- International Women's Day means it's time to march in sister solidarity. Take this chance to get your activist on, by joining your fellow female warriors in a (officially organized) Women’s Day march. It's time to plan your signage, don your warpaint, and practice your perfect “I am woman hear me roar.” Sydneysiders searching for a cause, look no further than the rally at the Archibald Fountain, Hyde Park.

- This year’s official campaign is #BalanceforBetter and it’s all about driving gender balance across the world, one workplace at a time. We’re all-for seeing more boss babes in the boardroom.  Check out, The Business Chicks and get your business, blood pumping at one of their inspirational events, located across Australia.

Celebrate with the Sisterhood of the Traveling Peach

- In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re representing some inspiring babes, from around the world, who are out there thriving. We thought this was a fabulous opportunity to spread some peachy love & give a voice to some of you fearless females… And so, the Sisterhood of the Travelling Peach was born. A Sisterhood of perfectly imperfect peaches, just ladies cheering on other ladies. Enjoy the host of guest speakers and brunching with the best.

- Busy work week and hectic schedule getting to you? This Woman's Day, make time to wine about it with your bestie. Manly Wine is celebrating throughout the weekend, offering a three course summer menu as well as three hours of bottomless bellinis and spritz cocktails. Whilst The Winery is donating proceeds of its infamous bottomless bubbly brunch to their nominated charity. So, brunch it up ladies.

Celebrate the Femme Fetales in Art and History

- This is the perfect time to have fun with your girl gang and learn about ladies thriving throughout history. Try hosting a girl-power inspired film fest. Or, visit a local art gallery for a specialty Women's Day event. Sip and snack from a complimentary assortment, and convince everyone that your sophisticated as.

- "Herland" is coming to Sydney's Women's Library, an exhibit based around the subject of female utopia, featuring a lineup of all female artists. The State Libraby of NSW is getting into the spirit as well, offering curated tours which showcase women in Australian history. Get it girls.

Celebrate the OG Ladies in Your Life

- You can’t celebrate Women’s Day without giving praise to the OG ladies in your life. Whether it’s your queen-bee mum, your sassy sister, a female family member or a member of your friend family; make time for the beautiful babes who are by your side, all year round. Do something kind for the women you love and make sure they know how much you appreciate them.
