Australia is home to some of the best beaches, bays and swim spots in the world. We asked our Instagram followers to share their favourite swim spots and we are were blown away with the responses.

From the crystal-clear waters of Western Australia, to the scenic springs of the Northern Territory here are some of your favourite swim spots in Australia as told by our Sunnylovers.


Rottnest Island, WA

Picturesque scenery, and spectacular wildlife, Rottnest Island is without a doubt, one of Australia’s most scenic swim spots. A short ferry ride off the coast of Perth awaits the calm blue waters of the Island. Relax on the white sandy beaches, snorkel with the incredible marine life, or catch a selfie with the happiest animal on earth, the Quokka! 


Castle Rock, Clontarf, NSW

“The perfect little private cove, you have to walk down some steep stairs where you often see lizards sun baking on the rocks as you go down. The beach is surrounded by trees and rocks, so that you can’t see any man-made structures. Feels like you’re on a private island and it’s an absolute dream." @sophia.morton

A hidden oasis, Castle Rock beach is home to some of the most pristine and clear water in Sydney. Surrounded by National Park, this swim spot feels private and secluded, although only 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD.

This vast beach in South Australia goes on forever. Surrounded by picturesque Australian landscape and bright blue water makes this place one of the most beautiful swim spots in Australia.  


Bitter Springs, Mataranka, NT

These natural spring thermal pools are the perfect swim spot to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings of the Northern Territory. Situated in Elsey National Park there is an abundance of wildlife, stunning scenery and adventures everywhere you look.  

 The springs flow gently, allowing you to float your way along peacefully. The water is amazingly clear allowing you to spot turtles gliding beneath you.
