POSTCARDS FROM GREECE

We chat to our Creative Director, Taryn Glick, about how the places she visits inspire her SUNNYLiFE designs, her favourite things to do whilst on holiday and the highlights from her trip.

1) What inspired you to choose Greece for your summer escape this year?

People often think of Greece as just the glossy, Instagram-famous spots, but once you start to explore beyond that, the magic really begins. The smaller, more remote
islands are bursting with charm and creativity. From the food to the local
artisan boutiques and tucked-away restaurants, there’s a soulfulness in the air that makes Greece the place to be in Europe come summer.

2) What does a “perfect summer day” look like for you while on holiday?

For me, holidays are about slowing down and doing what I love most. My dream summer day starts with the beach, followed by a wander through the local village streets or market, those little boutiques are where I find endless inspiration. Lunch is always light, and the evening ends seaside, candlelight flickering, with my favourite people around the table.

3) How would you describe the vibes of Greece in one sentence?

Cool, authentic, and effortlessly unpretentious, my ultimate summer destination.

4) What would your “postcard moment” from Greece be, if you had to choose just one image?

5) What was your favourite way to unwind while travelling?

I truly unwind by soaking up the atmosphere wherever I am. Whether it’s strolling down cobbled streets or spending the day at a beach club, it’s about being present, letting the pace of the place guide me, and switching off from the noise back home.

6) Which Greek island (or town) would you return to in a heartbeat and why?

That’s a tough one, but Antiparos has my heart. It’s this perfect mix of cool, curated
spots and raw natural beauty, yet still feels like a hidden gem. Its slower, more relaxed rhythm is exactly what I crave.

7) How does travel fuel your creativity as a Creative Director?

Travel keeps me wide-eyed. The colours, the textures, the architecture, the energy of the people, it all sparks new ideas. My mind never really switches off, so everywhere I go becomes a mood board. This trip has been overflowing with inspirational boutiques, restaurants, landscapes, and I can already see it weaving its way into SUNNYLiFE’s future collections.

8) Summer has arrived in Australia, what is your favourite thing about summer at home?

There’s an energy in Australia during summer that’s almost impossible to put into
words. Long days, golden light, everyone outdoors, laughing, barefoot, and buzzing with joy, it’s contagious. I’m most excited to soak it all in and create those quintessential summer memories with my beautiful boys and my friends.
